Transformers 3 Trailer: It’s All NASA’s Fault!

The first trailer for Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon is here, and while it isn’t full of the director’s trademark touch, it is based upon a widely controversial subject: the man who walked on the moon.

The world is still torn to this day with that very subject. Many believe is was a great adventure….during a photo shoot; while others believe it really happened. Well world, everything you thought you knew about the moon landing is about to be thrown out the window!

According to this first look, the moon landing not only happened for real, it was part of a super-covert mission to explore a Transformer’s spacecraft that had crashed on the, you guessed it, dark side of the moon [nice way to make the film title most understandable for us all; Dark Of The Moon!

Let’s keep in mind that this was all shot on a soundstage [which adds a little more “see I told you they could make it look real” factor to many debates about the subject.

What’s even greater? Vintage news footage from 1969 is woven in throughout the trailer. What’s bad? Not one star, or co-star, of the film appears throughout the whole trailer!

Check it out and tell us what you think. Excited for this third installment? And which side are you on – did the moon landing ever happen? Or was it all a conspiracy?

Transformers: Dark of the Moon hits theaters July 1, 2011.
