Daniel Craig To Reprise His Role As James Bond

Though fans were worried that James Bond wouldn’t return to the big screen, producers of the film have confirmed that Bond will surely return; and Daniel Craig will indeed reprise his role as the 007 superspy!

The film’s production has been on hold for quite a while due to MGM’s financial woes, but finally producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have released the long-awaited news that the 23rd film will start production later this year and will hit theaters on Nov. 9, 2012.

The release date will not only mark four years since the last adventure, but also the 50th anniversary of the franchise! And if that isn’t enough good news for Bond fans, Wilson and Broccoli are also confirming that Daniel Craig will return to the role he rejuvenated with 2006’s successful reboot, Casino Royale, and its sequel, 2008’s Quantum of Solace.

Sam Mendes, will return to helm the picture [who has remained faithful to the film which was at one point shut down while MGM teetered on the edge of bankruptcy], and will be directing from a script written by regular Bond scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade [with a little help from Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan].

Are you excited for the new film? After all, it is Bond, James Bond…
