Disney Hires Writer For ‘Pirates 5’

Disney has hired the co-writer of the previous for Pirates of the Caribbean films to write the script for a fifth movie in the franchise. Deadline reports that Terry Rossio has been brought on board to do a script for the film, which would be the first that he’s written without Ted Elliot.

Disney is reportedly attempting to get Rob Marshall, who directed Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, to direct the film, and Johnny Depp has a deal to reprise the role although he’s not locked in. It was reported earlier today that Depp would be all for a fifth film.
