Biutiful (R), Drama – The story is about a troubled man who is confronted by a former friend, now a police officer. Stars Javier Bardem and Maricel Alvarez.

From Prada to Nada (PG-13), Drama – Two spoiled sisters living with their father in a luxurious mansion in Beverly Hills who refuse to admit they are of Mexican descent find their posh lives are turned upside down when their father suddenly passes away. They discover they have been left penniless and are forced to move into their estranged aunt’s modest but lively home in the Latino-centric Boyle Heights neighborhood of East LA. Stars Alexa Vega, April Bowby, and Wilmer Valderrama.

Ip Man 2: Legend of the Grandmaster (R), Action – Set in Foshan, China, during the Sino Japanese War, one man rises to the fore, Grandmaster Ip Man. Upon refusing to teach his fighting art to the invading Japanese soldiers, he is forced to fight for the honor of his country in a series of battles that will culminate in a kill or be killed showdown with Japan’s greatest fighter, General Miura. Stars Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung.

Kaboom (NR), Comedy – An ambisexual 18-year-old college student stumbles upon a monstrous conspiracy in a seemingly idyllic Southern California seaside town. Stars Roxane Mesquida, Thomas Dekker, and Rooney Mara.

Seconds Apart (R), Horror – Murderous twins who share an evil kinship and possess a gruesome talent for telekinesis which they use in the most horrific ways imaginable. As fellow students meet gory fates, local law enforcement begins to suspect the twins’ connection to the depraved murders. Stars Orlando Jones, Samantha Droke, Edmund Entin and Gary Entin.

The Mechanic (R), Action – A well-paid assassin who executes people at the request of the American government does something that’s unprofessional and out of control: he takes on an apprentice, the son of the man he just killed. Stars Jason Statham, Ben Foster, and Donald Sutherland.

The Rite (PG-13), Thriller – A skeptical seminary student Michael Kovak attends exorcism school at the Vatican. He meets an unorthodox priest who introduces him to the darker side of his faith, uncovering the devil’s reach even to one of the holiest places on Earth. Stars Anthony Hopkins, Colin O’Donoghue, and Alice Braga.
