Christopher Nolan To Direct Howard Hughes Biopic

Once he’s done with the Batman franchise with ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, Christopher Nolan is turning his eyes toward a biopic. The director is reportedly planning to make a film about Howard Hughes. Nolan had a plan do to one back in 2004, but abandoned it when Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Aviator’ entered production.

Nolan’s film is reportedly based on Michael Drosnin’s ‘Citizen Hughes: The Power, the Money and the Madness’ and focuses on the director’s more erratic later years as opposed to ‘The Aviator’. The plan is to shoot the film in 2012 for a 2014 release.
