Children’s Book ‘The Story of Ferdinand’ Becoming An Animated Movie

The classic children’s book that many of us still remember by heart, The Story of Ferdinand, will become a 20th Century Fox Animation!

Published in 1936, written by Munro Leaf, illustrated by Robert Lawson, and tells the story of a bull whose only desire in life is to smell flowers and refuses to fight when placed in a bullfighting arena.

Banned in several countries for its allegedly pacifist undertones, Fox is hoping the same discourages won’t be revisited by critics for the sake of fans who’ve long awaited this news. Presumed as a full-length CGI film, the feature is said to be directed by Carlos Saldanha [director of the Disney trilogy Ice Age].

Are you excited to revisit the life lessons we as children were taught by Ferdinand the bull?
