Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Hop’ Leaps Over ‘Source Code’

Hop took the #1 spot at the box office this weekend grossing $38.1 million in its opening weekend. Duncan Jones’ second feature film The Source Code opened at the #2 spot with $15 million. The horror movie Insidious opened at #3 with $13.5 million. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules dropped from #1 down to #4 in its second bringing in $10.2 million. Limitless fell two spots in its third week, down to #5 grossing 9.4 million.
