Theatrical Releases for July 1st: ‘Larry Crowne’ & ‘Monte Carlo’

Larry Crowne, Monte Carlo, and more films hit theaters this holiday weekend! We’ve for the full list for you below!

Crime After Crime (NR), Documentary – Documentary on the legal battle to free Debbie Peagler, a woman imprisoned for over a quarter century due to her connection to the murder of the man who abused her. She finds her only hope for freedom when two rookie attorneys with no background in criminal law step forward to take her case.

Larry Crowne (PG-13), Comedy – When he’s downsized from his job, Larry Crowne decides to reinvent himself by enrolling in college, where he forms some unexpected bondswith fellow students, while also catching the eye of a female professor. Stars Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, and Cedric the Entertainer.

Love Etc. (NR), Documentary – Five different relationship stories: high school sweethearts, octogenarian lovebirds, the divorced father of two teenagers, a gay single man and a traditional Indian wedding.

Monte Carlo (PG), Comedy – While on a trip to Paris with her best friend and soon-to-be-stepsister, Grace is mistaken for a British socialite, resulting in all three young women flying to Monte Carlo for a charity ball, auction, and the chance for international romance. However, when a million-dollar necklace goes missing, Grace and her friends must scramble to find it before the auction is ruined and their identities are exposed. Stars Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester, and Katie Cassidy.

Terri (NR), Comedy – Follows the relationship between Terri, an oversized teen misfit, and the garrulous but well-meaning vice principal who takes an interest in him. Stars John C. Reilly, Jacob Wysocki, and Creed Bratton.

The Perfect Host (R), Thriller – A criminal on the run cons his way into the wrong dinner party where the host is anything but ordinary. Stars David Hyde Pierce, Clayne Crawford, Nathaniel Parker.

  1. Oops. Looks like I left out Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It opened on Wednesday and slipped by although it looks like movie-wathers were well-aware of it.
