‘Evil Dead’ Gets First Cast Member

The Evil Dead has gotten its first new cast member – Lily Collins. The Blindside actress has been cast in the remake. Collins will play Mia, a drug addict who heads to a cabin in the woods with her friends in an attempt to get clean.

The film is being directed by Fede Alvarez, who wrote the script along with Rodo Sayagues with Diablo Cody (Juno) doing some rewriting. The film begins shooting soon with an April 12th, 2013 release date planned.
