Weekend Box Office Report: ‘The Lorax’ Brings In $70 Million

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax dominated the box office to score the #1 spot this weekend bringing in $70.7 million dollars. Project X opened at #2 with a decent $20.8 million. Act of Valor slipped two spots to #3 in its second weekend bringing in $13.7 million. Safe House continued to hold very well, staying even at #4 with $7.2 million. Dropping three spots to #5 was Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds pulling in $7.0 million in its second weekend.

  1. Not surprising the Lorax came in first this weekend. It’s probably the only one I would pay to go to the theater to watch.
