Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax held onto the #1 spot at the box office this weekend bringing in $39.1 million dollars to stay on top. John Carter opened at #2 with $30.6 million. Project X slipped one spot to #3 with $11.6 million. Silent House opened at #4 with a $7 million dollar take. Act of Valor fell two spots to #5 in its third weekend with $7 million.
