Joseph Gordon-Levitt Remaking ‘Little Shop of Horrors’

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is currently developing a remake of Little Shop of Horrors at Warner Bros. Pictures as a vehicle for him to star in as Seymour Krelborn.

Marc Platt (Wicked, Wanted) will produce the new version and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) has been brought aboard to write the new screenplay.

Little Shop of Horrors was born as an ultra-low budget Roger Corman movie in 1960 (which featured Jack Nicholson in one of his first film appearances). It was adapted into an Off-Broadway musical in 1982, which was adapted into the 1986 movie musical, which starred Rick Moranis and Steve Martin, and was directed by Frank Oz.
