‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Joseph Morgan Debuts ‘Revelation’ At Atlanta Film Festival

Over the past weekend the Vampire Diaries star, Joseph Morgan, premiered his dark and thrilling directorial debut of his 12 minute film, Revelation at the Atlanta Film Festival. Many fans turned out to support Morgan’s massive milestone, and were treated to a fabricated masterpiece that left everyone questioning the lead’s reality.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Revelation stars Persia White (Girlfriends, Vampire Diaries) who plays a woman questioning her sanity after her life takes a downward spiral. An insidious darkness took away her husband, and now White’s character must fight, not only the unknown terror that had forced her to seclude herself within the house, but also with the demons she faces within.

Although this film was shot in only a three day period, the audience could truly tell how much hard work was put into this piece. From the interesting camera techniques, such as the excellent running sequence that forced the audience to feel the lead’s desperation – To the chilling score and voice-over that provided a calming, yet unsettling aspect for the duration of the film – Revelation was a thrilling ride that allowed the audience to tap into a viewpoint that didn’t seem possible. Morgan took a fascinating concept of what is, isn’t, or could be real and sculpted it into a whole league of its own. I, for one, am extremely pleased with the turnout of this film. It has been receiving a lot of positive hype that I can honestly abide by and say that it lives up to.

Revelation has an encore screening in Atlanta on March 24th during the Other Worlds Shorts Block at the Atlanta Film Festival. Below, you can check out the trailer for the film!

Doesn’t it just leave you wanting more?
