‘Royal Pains’ Recap And Review: Lawson Translation

After a two week hiatus, The Hamptons’ favorite doctor is back from a long fourth of July holiday vacation.

Previously on Royal Pains, Hank (Mark Feuerstein) travels to Europe to further investigate the cause of Boris’ death, while Divya (Reshma Shetty) and Jeremiah (Ben Shenkman) visit Savannah, GA to learn more about the services Symphonia has to offer before HankMed can consider becoming part of a corporate merger. Meanwhile, Evan’s determination to waive Blythe’s (Frances Conroy) cease and desist order on the Lawson Family business takes an unexpected turn.

So what do fans predictict will happen on the fourth episode when the medical drama resumes it’s regularly scheduled programming on July 10? Now that viewers are aware that Boris (Campbell Scott) staged his death to protect his loved ones, and that his cousin Milos (Callum Blue) is the reason behind his “disappearance”, it is very likely that Boris will seek revenge against his cousin for murdering Dimitri (Mark Ivanir).

Moving forward, the season-long arc between Katdare and Sacani should drastically shift gears now that Divya has opened up about her pregnancy. As for Evan (Paulo Constanzo) and Paige (Brooke D’Orsay), if the two can’t find time to spend with each other as a married couple, they might as well get a divorce – especially since Constanzo’s character plans on running for office at South Hampton Village Council.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Hank takes a back seat in the next few installments, as the writers of Royal Pains hone in on Divya and Dr. Jeremiah’s newfound friendship, while Mr. and Mrs. Lawson go through the motions.

Here are some revelations I hope to see this Wednesday at 9pm:

• Hank struggling to help Milos research methods of treatment for his illness, knowing that he killed Dimitry and wants all of Boris’ assets

• Sacani continuing to keep his feelings hidden, as Divya could possibly reach out to Rafa (Khotan Fernandez) to sort out their issues now that she knows her pregnancy is viable.

• Paige asking Evan for a break until he decides whether he wants to be a businessman, married man or politician.

• Ms. Ballard continuing being a pain in the ass (unless Eddie Lawson returns and attempts to court her attention)
