‘Covert Affairs’ 4.4 Episode Review And Recap: Rock A My Soul

As Annie and Auggie continue to get serious, their relationship presents more challenges at work. On the “Rock A My Soul” episode, the new couple still can’t see eye to eye on whether or not Teo Braga can be trusted, but not without reason. After Walker learns of a six-month gap in Anderson’s CIA record she obtained from Wilcox, more secrets begin pouring out. Auggie reveals that he once trained Teo for an off-the-books-mission, which left Anderson’s wife killed because of bad intel. Surprisingly, Annie takes the news well by telling Gorham’s character that he won’t lose her if he maintains his honesty, which I agree with. As much as I don’t like the idea of Christopher Gorham and Piper Perabo together on the show, their relationship might just last regardless of how many secrets they hide from each other.

On the other hand, I’m not sure the same can be said about Joan and Arthur. Now that viewers know that Henry has a personal vendetta against Mr. Campbell, this could present more problems between them, since they are both in danger. In one scene, Wilcox made a “deal” with Arthur stating he wants “a son for a son.” Does this mean he wants Braga dead, or is he referring to Joan’s unborn child?
