Executive Producer Talks ’24’ Finale

Howard Gordon, executive producer for ‘24’, revealed that the series finale will not be a good one for Jack Bauer.

“We considered several very different endings,” Gordon says. “We tried ‘happily ever after’ and it didn’t work. This show is a tragedy. To give Jack a happy ending wouldn’t have felt authentic.”

Gordon says that there will be a showdown involving Chloe and President Allison Taylor in the finale. Bauer is expected to survive, as there are plans to make a ‘24’ movie.
