Emily Vancamp Confirms She’s Leaving ‘Brothers & Sisters’

Emily Vancamp has confirmed that she has decided to leave ‘Brothers & Sisters’. Reports earlier this week had suggested that Vancamp was being cut for financial reasons, but the actress spoke with Entertainment Weekly saying that the decision to leave the show was a “mutual agreement”.

“I really feel like Rebecca has run her course,” Vancamp said. “And the deal I was offered this year was for two more years and I just felt like since renegotiations were happening that maybe it would be the right time to move on.

“I’ve been doing this for a very long time, and other opportunities have presented themselves that I haven’t been able to do. I’ve had such an amazing four years on the show and I felt like maybe it was time. It was a big risk but I’m really excited about it.”

Vancamp will appear in the first few episodes of the upcoming 5th Season, but will depart after that. We wish her all the best as we’ve adored her since her role as Amy on ‘Everwood’.

  1. Yeah sure. First Rob, now Emily and a reduced schedule for Calista. I am so done with this show. The writing has been terrible and the only reason I stuck it out was in hopes that it would get good again. My reasons are now gone. So I will be gone as a viewer. Bye!
