Spielberg’s New TV Project ‘Terra Nova’

Steven Spielberg’s next project, ‘Terra Nova’, will be a big-budget TV series that sees a group of scientists go back in time to the age of dinosaurs. The series will be shot in southeast Queensland and will only cost $4 million per episode.

Fox Television executive vice president of production, Jim Sharp, says, “Queensland had the right look, climate and terrain, a vibrant production community and attractive economic incentives. We are very excited to be shooting our first production there.”

Irish actor Jason O’Mara is reportedly being lined up to play the show’s lead.

  1. Only $4 million per episode. I remember when $1 million an episode was a huge budget for a series. Anyway, I think it could be a very interesting show. It’s all in the writing an acting. Primeval started out great, but went downhill after the first season. Still surprised that the network ordered two more seasons (and more changes, probably for the worse). I will definitely check out Terra Nova when it premieres and hopefully I will not be disappointed.
