Crawford Slams Dating Site

GOSSIP GIRL star CHACE CRAWFORD is angry that bosses of an online dating website have used his image in an unauthorized attempt to boost membership.

Crawford is pictured in the ad on match-making website WooMe.com alongside a tagline that reads: “Find guys and girls near you.”

But the 23-year-old insists bosses at the site – which links members via webcam – never officially hired him as the face of their brand.

Crawford’s representative tells the New York Daily News, “They had no right to use his name or photo. He is not the spokesperson.”

A spokesperson for the website is yet to comment.

Another idea is that, I haven’t seen the photo, but if Chace ever did any modeling, it’s possible that a photo of him could be available from somewhere as a “stock photo” and if the company purchased a license for that photo, they may have a legal right to use it.
