Emily Blunt’s Secret Snacks On Prada Set

Actress EMILY BLUNT risked the wrath of producers of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA by smuggling doughnuts onto the set of the movie – because she was meant to be on a strict diet for her role.

The 25-year-old portrayed a stick-thin fashion assistant in the 2006 hit, meaning Blunt had to forgo all sweet treats to slim down.

But she found herself craving comfort food – and ended up succumbing to sugary treats, much to the film bosses’ annoyance.

Blunt tells Britain’s Harper’s Bazaar magazine, “I understand why I was asked to be like that for that role. My character was surviving on cubes of cheese at one point in the movie.

“But you need some kind of comfort when you’re on a film set all day, and mine’s usually food. I was being watched like a hawk, but by the end I’d be sneaking in doughnuts just to annoy the producers.”
