Miley Cyrus’ Parents Billy Ray And Tish Cyrus Divorcing

Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and wife Tish Cyrus have announced they are divorcing after 17 years of marriage. Famous daughter Miley may have to pull out her dad’s old ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ single to get through this one.

“As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family,” the couple said in a statement. “We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.”

So after 17 years, what could possibly be the cause for such extreme measures? In divorce papers filed this past Wednesday in Tennessee, the couple are citing irreconcilable differences.

A source close to the couple made the statement that contrary to some tabloid speculation, there was “no third party responsible”, and that, “It was a long time coming. It is the best thing for both of them”.

The couple have three children together, Miley, 17, Braison, 16 and Noah, 10. Fans wish both of them the best and hope this doesn’t cause any extra emotional baggage to the children’s lives.
