Kendra Talks: Why I Turned Down Playboy Five Times

As fans know, if it wasn’t for Playboy. Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett may not be gracing the tabloids televisions screens right now [or ever]; we may not even know who she is! So why has the star turned down the offer to pose for the magazine that made her famous not one, but five times?

Kendra is finally speaking up, and contrary to what the tabloids are saying, Kendra makes it clear that the reason is not due to a weight issue. Her reason? That she was wanting to do it for all the “wrong reasons”.

When Playboy made the offer, Kendra said she wanted to pose again to just prove to people that she was still sexy post-baby [and c-section]. The 25-year-old mommy hired a photographer to take some test shots, but when hubby Hank came home that afternoon to find his wife posing in the living room in some rather skimpy attire, a talk was definitely needed.

“He actually sat down with me and he went over the reasons of doing it. And you know, my reasons weren’t right. I wanted to do Playboy for the wrong reasons. The wrong reasons are to prove people wrong, not to prove it to myself but to people and to put my middle finger up to everybody and be like, ‘I’m going to do Playboy!’ But that wasn’t the right reason, you know?”

So fans, though the very vocal Kendra gave no confirmation if a post-baby Playboy spread will happen, she does make one thing clear, weight was and never has been an issue: “You know, I don’t care. I can make fun of myself. I don’t really care. At the end of the day I’m not some supermodel. I’m me. I’m Kendra, you know? I’m not trying to be someone I’m not.”
