Lily Allen Suffering From Blood-Poisoning Condition

British singer Lily Allen has been hospitalized for the potentially lethal blood-poisoning condition septicaemia.

Allen, 25, who tweeted she still felt “very sick” following last week’s miscarriage, had been hospitalized with an unspecified viral condition in the days before suffering her loss. Just hours after the recent tweet, Allen was taken to the hospital for registration, where she currently remains until the condition hopefully subsides.

“She is responding well to treatment and her condition continues to improve,” her rep said recently. “Lily thanks everyone for their messages of support and again asks that she and partner Sam Cooper be left alone whilst she recovers.”

If left untreated, septicaemia can lead to organ failure and even death.
