Avril Lavigne Now Legally Divorced

Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley are now officially divorced. The two have been partying separately and hooking up publicly with other people for some time, but it wasn’t until this past Tuesday that a Los Angeles judge signed off on their divorce [just over a year after they filed].

They were married in July 2006 in Montecito, Calif., and split three years later, citing irreconcilable differences.

“Why’d they have to go and make things so complicated?” The world may never know the detailed reasons, but one thing is for sure, everyone is hoping on a new Avril album – and while we’re at it, maybe Deryck could try going solo? Sing it out guys!
