Wonder Woman To Be The New ‘Smallville’?

‘Wonder Woman’ is headed to the small screen.

Writer/producer David E. Kelley, best known for the hit series “Ally McBeal” and other popular shows such as “Chicago Hope” and the more recent “Boston Legal”, has his sights set on the television series to draw in old and new fans alike.

Rumors are circling that the series would fill the gap that of the hit series “Smallville” when the show ends next year. It’s also being rumored that Kelley’s Wonder Woman adaptation could take the same unexpected route of storyline of the superheroine that Smallville has.

Confirmed is that if the series makes it beyond the planning stages, Kelley’s take on Wonder Woman wouldn’t prevent the characters from starring in a movie adaption, again just as Superman Returns did with the unrelated “Smallville.” It is unknown whether Wonder Woman would even be used as the show’s title at present moment.

Could “Smallville” fans be this lucky to have the series end and a new, yet similar series begin shortly after? We can only hope, but it’s sounding very likely!
