The Cake Boss Welcomes A New Baby Boy

The Cake Boss received a sweet treat this past Monday; the birth of his baby boy!

Buddy Valastro’s wife, Lisa, gave birth to the baby boy we’ve all seen her carry around throughout episodes of Cake Boss and The Next Great Baker so gracefully.

Carlo Salvatore Valastro was born early morning, weighing in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces. “We feel so blessed to welcome a healthy new baby into our family,” Valastro says in the new issue of People Magazine. “Lisa’s doing great and we can’t wait to bring Carlo home.”

Carlo is named after the man who owned the family’s business, Carlo’s Bakery, before Valastro’s father took over. His middle name was inspired by a baker that worked at the shop for 40 years before passing away from cancer just last month, Sal Picinich.

Carlo joins sister Sofia, 7, and brothers Buddy, 6, and Marco, 3.

TLC will air a one-hour special detailing the baby’s arrival on Sunday, March 6 at 9/8c.
