Emma Roberts On Being Healthy And Skinny In Hollywood

Women’s Health has Emma Roberts on their April 2011 Cover. Perfect timing with her upcoming flick Scream 4. Here’s a sneak peek at the issue…

On being a “Roberts”

“I have really crooked teeth—they give me character!”

“We Robertses have too many teeth for our mouths.”

Chase Crawford (who co-starred with Roberts in Twelve) on Emma…

“Emma is obviously gorgeous, but she has this confidence that speaks volumes of her character.”

“I can give her a hard time and she can take it – or give it right back.”

On acting

“I’d love to work with Gwyneth Paltrow. I love her. She;s like my idol.”

“I grew up around sets… I would visit my aunt all the time and I just loved it. I was fascinated by the whole thing. You’d have to drag me off the set every time I was there!”

On a pole dancing work out

“I started taking classes with friends as a way to both work out and hang out. You don’t realize how much upper-body strength you need!”

“It’s also a good way to build confidence.”

On being healthy in Hollywood

“A lot of women feel like they have to eat healthy to be skinny, but [for me] it’s not about that.”

The magazine is on newsstands March 15th!

  1. That was fab snippets! I think she is more than worthy of being a teen idol and she sets the standards of how hollywood stars should inspire their fans! I’d love to try pole dancing and her admiting to it being a great workout makes me smile! I’m always trying to remind people its not all nakey dancing and that its an excellent source of exercise!!

  2. I’d love to try pole dancing as well. haha 🙂 I think it would be a fun different style of exercising, and when you make working out fun – you do it way more often without having to talk yourself in to it. haha 🙂

  3. I agree and I hate exercise especially when you realise that your not doing it for fun. My cousin got one of those poles you can put in your living room and take it down whenever. Needless to say she has this abdomen now to DIE for!! =D

  4. I may or may not have acquired one…. haha But it hasn’t gone up though. I’d have to take it down a fair bit I think because people would probably get the wrong impression. Plus installing them when you have a concrete ceiling… not so easy. haha 🙂
