Scarlett Johansson And Sean Penn Split

Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn have split. Why? Penn isn’t looking to be tied down.

After five months of dating, Penn, 50, broke up with Johansson, 25. An insider revealed that Penn wasn’t looking for anything serious since his 2010 divorce from Robin Wright. The insider also revealed that, “Scarlett pursued him.”

However, Johansson hasn’t seemed ready to give up on the unlikely relationship. On June 4 at the Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards, Johansson made sure she got some face time with Penn. “She pushed herself into his conversations,” a witness told Us Weekly. “She sat down between him and Robert De Niro. Robert was like ‘What?’ and made a face.”

Johansson also made sure they were snapped together. “A photographer asked for a shot,” the source says. “Before Sean could say no, she said yes.”

I feel like we all saw this one coming – it was such an odd relationship initially. Scarlett, having just come out of her marriage from Ryan Reynolds, and Sean, being so much older than Scarlett, just seemed like a very unlikely couple. Are you surprised by the split?
