‘Vampire Diaries’ Stars Ian Somerhalder And Nina Dobrev Open Up About Dating

Vampire Diaries stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev have finally opened up about their relationship after months of denying that they were dating. Us Weekly caught up to them at CW’s Fall Premiere Party in Burbank recently, where the two had plenty of adoring compliments on one another for the press.

“She truly enjoys life,” Ian said about his girlfriend of more than a year. “Her desire to experience and appreciate everything around her, and chuckle and enjoy it, is great.”

“He always has a positive outlook and positive energy, and he’s always happy,” Dobrev told the magazine. “He is a glass-half-full kind of guy, not half-empty.”

“When you’re really close to someone, they can make fun of you a lot and get away with it,” Ian said. “But they sort of poke you in all of the places – it all makes sense because they know you so well and it really pisses you off, but it forces you to sort of be introspective and ask yourself, ‘Wow, is that really how people see me?’ Apparently so!”

Vampire Diaries fans have suspected for sometime that Nina, 22, and Somerhalder, 32, have been dating – so the confirmation of the news isn’t that big of surprise. And they certainly make a stunning couple! I mean if we Delena fans can’t have them together on the show… At least we know they’re happy together in real life! 🙂

  1. Maybe it’s because I woke up super early and didn’t get enough sleep but… I don’t actually see any confirmation there? lol

  2. If you click the source it says: “When Us Weekly caught up with the couple at The CW’s Fall Premiere Party in Burbank, Calif. Saturday, Somerhalder, 32, said there are “a million things” he loves about his girlfriend of more than a year.”

  3. Mel beat me too it. Yeah they were talking about the relationship openly at the event. Though I think we’ve all speculated this was the case for a long while 🙂
