Wife Of ‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestant Found Dead

American’s Got Talent is once again in the spotlight, but this time around, the cause is a matter that Piers, Sharon and Howie can’t even begin to deliberate.

America’s Got Talent held auditions this past weekend in Los Angeles, and one contestant gave judges a lot more than his talents to talk about.

Joe Finley, who auditioned for the NBC talent contest, was busted for drug possession. As if that wasn’t enough to overshadow and put a pause to the auditions, Finley was also declared a “person of interest” in his wife’s death at the downtown L.A. hotel, where tryouts were being held!

The 48-year-old wife of the contestant was discovered earlier that day dead in a stairwell of the Millennium Biltmore Hotel. The police took Finley in for questioning, and in the process also seized three ecstasy pills off the subject.

“Right now her death is still considered undetermined—it could be an accident, a suicide or a homicide,” police stated. “He woke up in the afternoon and realized she was gone. We later interviewed him for several hours. He was booked on possession of Ecstasy pills.”

The Finleys daughter, Lauren, took the LAPD to task on Twitter: “The LA Police Dept. is not doing much of anything to help my family. Please share this with everyone.

“My mom was murdered last night at the Biltmore Hotel in LA . If you were there to audition for Americas Got Talent and know any info please…I woke up and thought it was all just a dream.”

Finley was released on bail this past Sunday and one thing is for certain, his talents are surely the last thing that will come in handy in the upcoming months and possibly, years.
