PlayStation Plus For PS Vita Available Next Week

We have known for a few months now that the Playstation Plus service would be heading to the Playstation Vita handheld by the end of the year. Well, now we happen to know some concrete details about the service as well as some information about a new system update coming next Tuesday, November 20th. Once your Playstation Vita is upgraded to firmware 2.00 and the official Playstation Store is updated, you will be able to download six different games on your Vita for free if you happen to be a Playstation Plus subscriber.

The included six games that will be made free next Tuesday include the five Vita games: Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Jet Set Radio HD, WipEout 2048, Gravity Rush and Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack! as well as one PSP game: Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions. Current Playstation Plus plans go for $17.99 for a three month plan or $49.99 for a one year plan. Any free or discounted game you purchase will be available to you as long as you continue to be a Playstation Plus subscriber.

Some included features of the 2.00 firmware include a few extra things. An official email app will be added when you download the update along with an improved content manager, which will now allow for wireless connection to a PC and upload to online storage, and some other improvements include a browser update and 1080p playback on videos with closed captioning options.
