‘TRON: LEGACY’ Spawns Animated TV Series

Disney’s upcoming TRON: LEGACY has spawned an animated TV series, and though the film hasn’t even hit the big screen yet, Hollywood’s hot listers have already jumped on board to lend their voices to the tv show!

TRON: UPRISING, which will air on kids digital cable channel Disney XD, will feature the voices of Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Nate Corddry, Lance Henriksen, Paul Reubens, Reginald VelJohnson and Bruce Boxleitner, who reprises his role as Tron. The series picks up after the original TRON left off in 1982, but before TRON: LEGACY begins.

The story of UPRISING revolves around Beck (Wood), the leader of a revolution in the computer world called The Grid. Tron, the greatest warrior in The Grid, must train Beck so that he can free his friends and family from the villainous General Tesler (Henriksen).

TRON: UPRISING will debut in summer 2012. TRON: LEGACY will be released in theaters on Dec. 17th of this year.
