OneRepublic Fear Second Timaland Collaboration

Rockers ONEREPUBLIC are terrified of working with TIMBALAND again – because they are certain they won’t be able to top the success of their previous hit with the music producer.

The U.S. band will collaborate with the hitmaker – real name Timothy Mosley – for a second time but are doubtful their efforts will match up to their 2007 Timbaland-remixed track Apologize, which shot to the top of the charts in several countries.

Frontman Ryan Tedder explains, “Apologize was so big it scared me. It has been named the biggest song in the history of radio in the U.S. After we got that call, we flipped out. It’s something that’s impossible to live up to.”

“Tim and I are in contact all the time but when the suggestion of another remix came up it was a difficult decision. It’s tricky because we ended up asking ourselves whether we’re a straight-up rock band or a band who can it into any genre.”
