Enviromental Groups Praise Radiohead

RADIOHEAD’s efforts to make their current world tour environmentally friendly have paid off – the band has received a glowing report from green campaign group Friends of the Earth.

The band have attempted to reduce their carbon emissions while touring by limiting the amount of equipment they take with them, using low-energy LED lights and taking refillable water bottles.

All of the band’s merchandise is also now made from recycled materials.

And Friends of the Earth spokeswoman Anna Mitchell is delighted with the results – insisting the Creep hitmakers should be applauded for their efforts.

She says, “I’m not sure whether it is the most environmentally friendly tour ever, but it certainly feels like it.

“They are doing everything they possibly can to cut emissions. it’s incredibly impressive.”
