Glee’s Harry Shum Jr. Talks: Rachel-Finn Breakup And More

Harry Shum Jr.[akak Mike Chang on Glee] recently sat down and talked about the tragic break-up of Rachel & Finn. a possible Mike & Brittney pairing, and more!

Harry says that the producers and cast have heard your fans grumbles about last week’s big breakup between Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith). His exact response: “[Executive producer] Brad Falchuk, when we were filming, came up to me and was like ‘Wow, we’re getting hit really hard right now — people are going nuts over it.'” So what’s next for Finn and Rachel?

As far as the Finnchel breakup goes, Harry says that with those two apart, “At least some fans get Puckleberry for a little bit right? Maybe? Maybe Puckleberry? Maybe I don’t know, it might happen, it’s a possibility.” (How do you guys feel about that?)

And what about his own on-screen relationship? Are things steady with Tina? Says Harry, “Things could always resurface, especially in high school…in the last episode where Artie (Kevin McHale) and Tina start seeing one little wrong look, they start thinking, ‘OK, what’s going on? What’s going on? Are they back together?’ and you know anything can happen.”

And if Tina and Mike do break up, Harry’d says he’d be interested in exploring things with Heather Morris’ Brittany, saying, “Everyone’s rooting for Brittany. Mike and Brittany…I think it’s great. They make great dance partners and you haven’t really seen them, their relationship outside of that.”

Speaking of dance, we’ll see Mike Chang’s dancing feet at work in the Super Bowl episode! “The scenes are going to be Super Bowl epic. We’re doing some crazy stuff…Yesterday we worked a good 16-, 17-hour day. We were going hard, and it’s going to be a really awesome fun episode…we’re doing some awesome musical numbers.”

Do you love or hate Harry Shum Jr.? Do you want to see him with Tina or with Brittany? And how was your first week after the Finnchel breakup? How long can you hold out before they have to get back together?!
