1961 – Johnny Cash made an appearance on NBC’s “The Deputy.”

1962 – Bob Dylan released his classic album, The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan.

1964 – At a school in Coventry, England, eleven boys were suspended for haircuts styled like Mick Jagger.

1987 – U2’s thundering sound system set off earthquake alarms in two neighborhoods during a concert in Rome’s Flaminio Stadio.

1988 – Van Halen opened their “Monster Of Rock” touring festival in Wisconsin at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre.
