1966 – The Beatles arrived at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport to embark on their last American tour.

1968 – The Beatles released the first single on their own Apple imprint, “Hey Jude” with B-side “Revolution.”

1972 – Originally tying the knot in May of 1967, Elvis and Pricilla Presley filed for divorce.

1973 – After catching KISS live at a New York hotel, producer Bill Aucion offered to become their manager and work out a record deal for the group.

1973 – The Edgar Winter Group released “Free Ride.”

1985 – Simon LeBon’s boat capsized off the British coast during a race. The Duran Duran singer was rescued by the Royal Navy after being trapped for 40 minutes in an underwater air pocket.

1999 – KISS was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
