‘Twilight’ Star Robbert Pattinson To Record An Album

Twilight star Robert Pattinson already has rock star status when it comes to million of teenage girls, but the British actor is preparing to up the ante. He’s preparing to record an album.

“Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn’t allow it,” one insider explains of the superstar, who recorded two songs, “Never Think” (which he co-wrote with pal Sam Bradley) and “Let Me Sign” for the original Twilight soundtrack.

“Now he’s got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting Breaking Dawn.”

A second source told Us Weekly that fans shouldn’t expect it to have a mass appeal. “The album Rob will make will be guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop. Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison.”

We’re pretty sure anything Rob does is going to have a mass appeal!

“Music is his first love!” says the second source. “He’s tortured because he avoids it. When he’s sitting around jamming in the studio, it’s his favorite moment of life.”

To prep for the recording session, the guitar player has been “studying on on other instruments — like piano and horns,” the first source reveals. “It’s an obsession for him.”

We look forward to hearing it! Do you?
