Russell Brand Hosted ‘SNL’ And Received Mixed Reviews
Russell Brand hosted SNL last Saturday, and the British star, who is better known in the states simply as Katy Perry’s husband, received mixed reviews for his performance. There was no question that Brand brought more energy to the show than audiences have seen in years – but that didn’t mean he also brought the laughs.
Brand had a decent opening monologue, but it was followed up by the typical SNL skits that we’ve learned to expect over the years. Brand’s hosting gig just goes to show the host really won’t make a difference… SNL is going to continue to be the show that past its prime many years back.
