Lifetime Orders New Military Reunions Reality Series ‘Coming Home’

Lifetime has ordered a reality series that will respectively feature the surprise reunions of families welcoming home U.S. soldiers returning from long tours of duty.

The series, Coming Home, has been picked up for 13 episodes, and is expected to feature five reunions each hour. Former American Idol finalist Matt Rogers has signed on to host the show. The show is reportedly inspired by the internet phenomenon that captured military families being reunited.

Coming Home will premiere Sunday, March 6 at 10/9c, following the Season 5 premiere of Army Wives.
