Krysta Rodriguez Leaves ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Spin-Off
The How I Met Your Mother spin-off, How I Met Your Dad, has already hit a bump in the road. Actress/singer Krysta Rodriguez has already dropped out of a leading role.
Rodriguez was set to play Juliet, the best friend of lead actress Greta Gerwig’s character, but she exited the pilot project after changes were made to the script following the first table read, according to Deadline.com.
The spin-off, which stars Gerwig, Drew Tarver, Nick D’Agosto and Andrew Santino, will center on a group of friends living in New York and follow the main character’s journey to meeting her future husband. It has been reported that this is a different group of characters from the long-running and soon ending How I Met Your Mother. Same concept – new characters.
The How I Met Your Mother series finale will air Monday night on CBS.
