‘Halt and Catch Fire’ Promo Premieres During ‘Walking Dead’ Finale

Halt and Catch Fire is set to premiere on AMC this June, and just like its fellow AMC series The Walking Dead, it is filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. We’ve been teasing the new series on our social media accounts since the series filmed its pilot in Atlanta late last April. Fast forward a year, and not only was the series picked up by AMC, but Halt also premiered its pilot episode at SXSW to rave reviews.

Halt and Catch Fire is set roughly one year after IBM all but corners the market with the release of its first major product – the IBM PC. In this fictional drama, a former IBM executive, Joe MacMillan (Lee Pace) plans to reverse engineer the flagship product of his former employer and forces his current company, Cardiff Electric, into the personal computer race. MacMillan enlists the help of Gordon Clark (Scoot McNairy), a once great engineer who dreams of creating a revolutionary product while trying to manage his initially unsupportive wife Donna (Kerry Bishé), and Cameron Howe (Mackenzie Davis), a volatile prodigy who puts her future in jeopardy to join MacMillan’s rogue PC project. Halt and Catch Fire thrives on the spirit of innovation and explores what it’s like to stand at the forefront of something world-changing and work towards it, no matter the risk.

During last night’s season finale of The Walking Dead, AMC first premiered the promo for Halt and Catch Fire series’ premiere. Take a look at it below.

  1. Same here. 🙂 I love Lee Pace – and I love the concept for this series. I expect it to be for engineers and developers what Mad Men is for advertising.
