NBC Picks Up Reality Series ‘Still Standing’

NBC network recently announced this past Friday that they have picked up yet another reality show competition!

Still Standing is a reality trivia competition allowing contestants to try and out-guess 10 challengers in 10 different fast-paced rounds. The series is based off an Israeli show, also by the same name.

To break it down simply: two contestants stand behind two different coins whose value — which can amount to anything between $1 and $50,000 — is hidden. The players then answer questions until one loses [at which point the loser is dropped down a trapdoor in the studio floor].

“This game show has proven its popularity overseas with its breakneck pace, physical humor and intense face-offs,” NBC’s Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming Paul Telegdy said in a release. “U.S. audiences will surely enjoy its swift and wit-filled antics.”

NBC has ordered eight episodes of the reality series. No premiere date has been set, but when it is, will you be dropping in to see who’s dropping down round to round?
