‘The Paul Reiser Show’ Officially Cancelled

NBC has officially canceled The Paul Reiser Show. Instead, repeats of The Office will air in the 8:30 p.m slot starting next week.

The show premiered with 3.3 million viewers and 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic. It’s the network’s lowest-rated in-season comedy debut ever. The second episode fared even worse with a 2.5 rating and 0.9 in the same demographic.

Reiser said previously that the network rushed the show to air without promotion. He adds, “This was shortest ramp up in the history of television. Literally 20 days ago [NBC] said, ‘We’re putting you up,’ and we said, ‘OK, great.'”
