Syfy Orders 10 Episodes of ‘Killjoys’

Syfy has added the adventure series Killjoys to its primetime schedule with ten episodes set to debut in 2015.

The series was ordered by Bell Media’s Space in Canada and comes Temple Street Productions (Orphan Black) and Michelle Lovretta (Lost Girl).

Here’s the official synopsis:

Killjoys follows a fun-loving, hard living trio of interplanetary bounty hunters sworn to remain impartial as they chase deadly warrants throughout the Quad, a distant system on the brink of a bloody, multiplanetary class war.

Syfy president Dave Howe said: “With its explosive action, smartly-drawn characters, and fun and provocative story-lines, Killjoys has all the ingredients to make it the perfect complement to our expanding slate of quality science fiction drama series.”

Lovretta created the series and will be an executive producer/showrunner. Temple Street’s David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg will also executive produce. Universal Cable Productions will handle international distribution.
