The Walking Dead: The First Look At Season 2

Filming has started on Season 2 of The Walking Dead. AMC’s hit series is filming in Atlanta and taking advantage of the tax credit that the state of Georgia is currently offering to projects filming in the area.

The network released it’s first official photograph from Season 2 today, you can expect to see more photos as we get closer to the premiere this fall – which will have 13 episodes instead of 6!

Executive Producer/Writer/Director Frank Darabont says, “At this moment, I’m standing on a stretch of post-apocalypse interstate in Georgia, littered with abandoned cars and blessing my good luck to be reunited with our amazing cast, and our fantastic directors and crew. Across the board, there are none better. It’s great to be shooting again. I think we’ve embarked on a great season.”

We have more Walking Dead sneak peeks coming later this week – so keep checking back! And let us know what you want to see in Season 2 in our comment section below!

  1. One thing I really feel was left resolved in the first season was Merle. He stole their van and then disappeared. I just wonder what happened to him or if he is out for revenge. Other than that I would like to see them find more groups of survivors maybe even a whole community that lives in a fortified facility like the upper floors of an office complex. And I guess we need some more zombies. There were virtually none in the last two episodes. 12 episodes will be great for a bigger story arc

  2. Yeah I’m excited for more episodes – I think they’ll have more time to explore things and not worry about cramming so much into a half order for AMC. I felt that a lot of the writing last season started us down a path – then ripped us back off of it. I know that a lot of the episodes were re-written because they weren’t happy with the quality. Season 2 they’re using all freelancers instead of a returning staff of writers – which makes me a bit nervous for how things will be laid out.
