‘Parks and Recreation’ To End After Seventh Season

First the cancellation of Community and now this?! Fans may be upset to learn that the upcoming seventh season of popular NBC show Parks and Recreation will be its last. 

Bosses at NBC network announced on Sunday that the series about small-town politics will be coming to a close.

The show centers on the daily goings on of a small town’s Parks department, chronicling their hilarious trials and tribulations along the way.  Amy Poehler leads the cast with character Leslie Knope, but the show has produced many other memorable characters along the way including Ron Swanson ,Tom Haverford and Donna Meagle, to name a few.

After debuting in 2009, the comedy has earned several awards and nominations, including Poehler’s first Golden Globe win for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy at this year’s award ceremony.

 Executives at the network also revealed that the Lauren Graham and Peter Krause-led drama, Parenthood, will end after its upcoming sixth season.
