‘Two and a Half Men’ Cancelled

Two And A Half Men will finally be coming to a close at the end of its upcoming 12th season.

Network bosses at CBS have confirmed the series will end later this year, but there are a few surprises in store for fans.

Announcing the news this morning,  network president Nina Tassler revealed the show’s creator Chuck Lorre has a “season long event” to close the show, adding, “He’s very psyched about this. He’s got some great ideas in store and some very big surprises.”

The sitcom first aired in 2003 and became an instant ratings success for the network.

Charlie Sheen, who originally starred in the show,  was fired in 2011 following a very public spat with Lorre, and his role was filled by Ashton Kutcher.

Child star Angus T. Jones departed the show last year after criticizing plot-lines and themes in a video message posted online.

Pretty in Pink star Jon Cryer, who has been with the show from the start, will appear in the final scenes, opposite Kutcher and newcomer Amber Tamblyn (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants).

  1. The show’s characters and writing seem to wan after CS’s firing. Too bad for everyone; fans and actors. Good call to cancel after the show’s momentum halted to a slow grind.
