Angelina Jolie Nearly Knocked Herself Out on the Set of ‘Maleficent’

Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent headgear had to be re-designed after the heavy horns she initially sported almost knocked her out on-set!

The star was given prosthetic cheek implants, a false nose, contact lenses, high-heeled shoes and pointed ears to slip into character as the Mistress of All Evil, and an extravagant headpiece with curved horns completed the look.

However, the movie’s producers had to go back to the drawing board and design a safer costume after Jolie banged the horns on the roof of her trailer and almost passed out.

She tells U.K. TV show This Morning, “When I first put the horns on and the heels on and the contacts in and the thing (headpiece) on, I banged right into the trailer and nearly knocked myself out. I eventually got horns that were magnetic and detachable so I could take them off.”

Between the horns almost knocking Jolie out and her costume scaring kids on-set, the real-life stories behind the making of the film are just as fantastic as I’m expecting the movie itself to be!
