Stacey Dash Joins Fox News

Stacey Dash, whom you probably recognize as Dionne Davenport from 90’s classic film Clueless,  has joined the Fox News network as a regular contributor.

Dash, who is known for her conservative views, will “offer cultural analysis and commentary” in various daytime and primetime program, according to a new press release.

A statement from Fox News’ executive vice president of programming, Bill Shine, reads: “Stacey is an engaging conversationalist whose distinctive viewpoints amongst her Hollywood peers have spawned national debates – we’re pleased to have her join Fox News.”

In 2012, Dash sparked backlash when she endorsed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney over U.S. leader Barack Obama.  Dash’s endorsement, along with her outspoken views over social media, sparked her movement into commentary and landed her many television appearances, including Red Eye, Hannity, and The View.

Although she now focuses on mainly on commentary, she’s continued her acting career through the years as well, having appeared in VH1’s Single Ladies and BET’s The Game.
